Oleander Hawkmoth - Daphnis Nerii - Army Green Moth Preservation Display

Oleander Hawkmoth "Daphnis nerii" or Army Green Moth.

Cousin to our favourite Death's Head Hawkmoth (Acherontia atopos).

He is displayed in our new Baby sized glass domes. A custom made walnut base and hand blown cover. Roughly 11x12cm

Arranged inside are preserved mosses (bleached), Dried Daisies and Hydrangea.

The Oleander is one of the most beautiful Hawks. Their bodies created with a green velvet floof, pink and purple tones across the wings. 

Newly hatched Oleander moth larvae are a vibrant yellow, but as they grow older they develop their colours, and a beautiful eye set pattern atop their heads.
